Burning Man 2017
For Burning Man I wanted a way to bring my new blackjack game to the Playa without having to be in one spot the entire time. With this in mind I created a mobile blackjack cart that could pop up anywhere that I wanted to set up. This allowed me the freedom to go where I wanted and close down the cart when I wanted to do something else for the night.
The base of the cart was steel that I welded together and then bolted 2x4s to and built a base from there. The bottom of the cart was very stable and was sturdy enough to hold me and all my displayed items and a cooler for drinks people could bet for. Was a lot of fun and I set up at different parties at different points during the burn. The fact that many people don’t carry many things around with them out there brought me to institute more “dare” betting, which essentially meant that people could bet without even having anything (really anything) on. I bet people to kiss, exchange clothes, throw their shoes into the distance, yell strange things to crowds, and bet and lose their shoelaces.
